The aptly named Deep Fork Ranch is 400+/- acres of prime recreational land on the old Deep Fork River channel southwest of Chandler, Oklahoma. In an area known for rich wetland resources, this gem of a property is one of the very few managed wetlands not in WRP. An interconnected system of enhanced wetland cells with water control structures facilitates moist-soil management and nurtures highly desirable vegetation that not only serves as a natural filter but also provides excellent food sources for waterfowl. Scattered upland areas have consistently yielded superb whitetail harvests over many years with established genetics that make this much more than just a duck hunter's retreat. All enhanced areas are situated far enough from the actual channel as to avoid the heavy siltation that can come from the river. While the majority of the acreage is in the floodplain, there is a 10-12 acre area not far off the county road that could support building a nice structure like a hunting lodge if so desired.
